All in a Day’s Work for this Designer Chair

At first glace, it’s tough to see what makes this piece a designer chair. The item is made of wood and looks like a plant stand from the 1970’s. However, the hexagonal shape and use of negative space help make ordinary designer furniture extraordinary. The fact that three different wood sections visibly meet, for example, is an unexpected departure from standard tables or chairs from the past two decades. More elegant and understated designs like this are available direct from the artist.

The versatility here offers a world of options. Use as a chair, stool, side stand, or ottoman for the living room or dining area. The natural wood surface makes this the perfect room furniture for lighting. When you like, it carries away for easy storage.

Help Wanted: Solutions for the Designer Chair

We’re checking back with our good friend, the Eames chair, which has recently snagged an office job. Properly dressed, the traditional plastic bowl form is now covered with fabric for a softer impression. Whether or not this item will rise to the occasion will be seen, as most designer furniture for the office needs to be adjustable for comfortable height at a desk or various tables. Fortunately for the product pictured, the glass furnishings pictured seem to be the right match.

If you have the perfect table, you might wonder what type of chairs to use. Problem solved: the classic yet contemporary Eames is the way to go. Don’t take our word for it; hire an Eames for your own modern home.

A Tree No Longer Grows in Brooklyn

A Norwegian furniture designer has come up with this fantastic designer room set. To create this innovative and exciting approach to designer furniture, she has assembled blocks of over 20 types of wood. Using the off-cuts, she has redefined ecologically friendly furniture, winning many awards for her innovative design. This chair, table, and pendant lighting, for example, are fit together in an unexpected fashion; the completely modern set is made of same material. A wooden lampshade? Why not? The design community will think of solutions for any room.

According to the artist, the main idea behind this product is easy to grasp; she wanted to construct a product using the most basic material available to everyone. The process becomes more complex in its construction, until you have a simple product you couldn’t possibly make at home.

It’s Clear: Acrylic Designer Tables are the Way to Go

Let’s take the mystery out of deciding what type of designer table belongs in a modern living room. We want something that is contemporary but also functional; sometimes wood seems too traditional for a new furniture piece. We also need something appropriate for trendy settings. We’re currently considering acrylic tables like these that act as transparent accent tables as well as catalog racks.

This surface embodies the height of furniture style for the designer home. As mentioned before, the transparent nature of the clear acrylic accent table means it will compliment and blend in with a wide variety of interior design schemes for the office or any domestic room. If you have books and journals you want to showcase, make this accent table yours today.

If I Had A Million Dollars; A Designer Chair that’s Worth it’s Weight

Put away your million dollars folks; the Newson designer lounge chair has just sold at auction for 1.6 million, fees included. Not bad for such a classic style. If you think metal lounges seems questionable, consider that the artist’s design style, known as biomorphism, uses smooth flowing lines and tends to lack angular shapes. Therefore this furniture seems to contrast with the more organic theme of the occupant.

This item is not quite part of a collection but there are others that share a similar shape. The relatively new fabric solid Embryo Chair may be more comfortable, but don’t expect a price break.

Rex Rewrites the Rules of Home Office Furniture

The designer desk set has gone to the dogs with this unique design. Here the two items work together like an Escher drawing; the surface of one piece is a match for seating on the opposite side. The lack of separate tables and chairs makes this modern workstation the height of style for the home office, and allows the set to function almost as a clever work of art.

In our opinion, however, this desk set will need more features to function as an efficient workspace. Proper lighting and adjustable chairs must be included for longer term use. You also could not place these furnishings anywhere close to a wall. It’s ultimately up to you, but this set seems custom made mainly for appearances.

Furniture Fair: Kid’s Rooms Finally Attain Equal Representation

We’re most exited to see the new kid’s room from the upcoming International Contemporary Furniture Fair. New youth designs seem a little underrated, but the market is slowly responding to growing demand. This designer table and chair can stand alone or as part of the full collection, and makes the collection versatile for children of all ages. The wood wall unit is set at the perfect height for style and functionality, available in red or white for the youth bedroom. European clients are currently pleased, and customers from the USA will find these in every store.
It’s up to you to find relevant accessories for this room. Anything from Italy is fine- be sure to select pieces that compliment future pillows and bedding. Consult your local furniture store for designer options.

Mother Nature’s Designer Bedroom

Nature meets nurture with this airy Hayes designer bedroom. Refined indoor furnishings and outdoor views merge using neutral colors and textures. This collection looks simple, but the room includes most of the elements of modern living. Maybe this is just a great picture, but the bed, chair, and cantilever side table seem in complete harmony with the surrounding atmosphere. Neutral bedding and area rug compliment the wood floor while contemporary lighting fixtures on the wall remain available for everyday use.

Maybe it is the case that nearly every item in the room is off the floor, but this set seems light as air. We’d recommend a sliding glass door for this enclosure, shop around to find a curtain for comfort and privacy.

Retro Modern Table, American Style

An American designer table is about function as well as form, and the contemporary item pictured here is ready for double duty. This GINO coffee table is ready made for living room cocktails, complete with space for accessories like a furniture catalog or ambient lighting. If you need a convenient entertainment console, make it a handy TV stand in a flash. The shiny finish compliments a fabric sofa best, and you can finally pull that shag rug out of storage.

This piece could work as a side stand for the dining room, but we think special furnishings belong in the most visited room in general. Consider overseas delivery more pieces for this collection; have retro, will travel.
